Marc is a renewable energy professional with over 17 years’ experience. Marc has previously held senior roles responsible for the development, construction and operations of wind energy projects totaling over 3 GW. Marc is heavily involved in dealing with key business stakeholders, including policy makers, statutory bodies and local communities.
CEO
Diarmuid is an experienced executive with over 17 years in the renewable energy sector. He previously worked with Airtricity, SSE and Mainstream Renewable Power in Europe, Africa and Asia developing wind farms from inception to commercial operation. He has 10 years’ experience specifically related to merger & acquisitions in Europe, Africa and Asia.
CLO
Seán mac Cann is a former City lawyer with 30 years’ global experience in private practice and in industry and 20 years’ specific experience in renewables.
CFO
Alex has several years’ experience working in finance, energy engineering and energy related consultancy. He holds an MSc in Energy and Environmental Finance from Smurfit Business School, Dublin, as well as an MSc in Sustainable Energy Planning and Management from Aalborg University, Denmark.
Financial Controller
Sharon is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Having previously worked as internal finance manager for ‘top 6’ firm of traditional accountants.
Finance Co-Ordinator
Una is a graduate from UCD Smurfit School of Business, obtaining a first-class honour’s in MSc Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance. Una is responsible for financial modelling as well as corporate and project budgeting. Una is currently undertaking her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.
Technical Team Lead
Rhiannon is a skilled GIS specialist graduating Summa Cum Laude with two BScs in Geography and Sustainable Community Planning and Development from Appalachian State University, North Carolina. Rhiannon is passionate about exploring innovative solutions and emerging technologies to streamline the development of renewable energy assets locally and abroad.
Development Director
Michael is a qualified Structural & Civil Engineering and a Business Management graduate with 10 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector. Michael has been a key member in the development and construction of a 1 GW portfolio of onshore wind assets in Ireland. This experience has allowed Michael to foster knowledge from all stages of renewable project development from site feasibility right through to commercial operation.
Project Manager
Aoife has over 16 years’ experience in managing customer focused, design led projects within globally networked organisations. Aoife joined the Project Management Team at Empower after graduating from UCC with a diploma in Environmental Science and Social Policy and upon completion of Wind Energy Ireland’s Work in Wind programme. Aoife has held many senior design roles prior to refocusing her career path in the renewable energy sector.
Project Manager
Robert holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from University College Dublin as well as an BSc in Environmental Science from University College Dublin. Robert has several years of experience in the renewable energy sector carrying out design work through the use of Geographical Information Systems and working in project management.
GIS Coordinator
Richardson is a qualified GIS specialist holding an MSc in Sustainable Energy & Green Technology from UCD and a BSc in Geographical Science from TUD. Richardson possess a unique blend of academic knowledge and practical experience across various sectors utilising GIS systems and data analytics to aid in development and decision-making processes.
Senior Portfolio Development Manager
Charlie is qualified in Civil Engineering and Project Management and has 21 years of experience in construction, 14 of which are directly within renewable energy. Charlie spent 8 years in consultancy tending to various aspects of civil and project management of projects going from construction right through commissioning, and hand over to operations. The last 6 years have been directly involved in the development and planning phases of projects. Charlie is an avid rugby supporter who attends as many Munster and Ireland rugby games as he can
